This is the official website of the New York State Capital District chapter (#3014) of USA Dance, the national amateur ballroom dancers' association (formerly USABDA). We serve the entire Capital Region, including Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Saratoga, Latham, and Clifton Park. Our mission is to promote ballroom dancing and its healthful benefits in three ways: ballroom as a social activity; ballroom as a form of exercise; and ballroom as a sport (aka Dancesport).
Capital District's New Year's Eve
The Capital District Chapter will open it's Speakeasy for one night only at The Vista in Clifton Park on December 31st. Patrons should show up around 7:00 PM and knock on the door with the secret password handy. It's rumored there will be lots of music, giggle juice, food, dancing, Flappers and Bootleggers. Please check your "heaters" at the door. Costumes from the 20s and 30s would be appreciated.
"Crazy Legs" Tritto will be on hand to play the music.
